SUMMER LEAGUE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN
5/10/12 - BREAKING NEWS... IT IS WITH GREAT REGRET THAT WE MUST ANNOUNCE THAT THE MONDAY NIGHT LEAGUE HAS REACHED CAPACITY FOR MEN. GUYS CAN CONTINUE TO REGISTER FOR THAT LEAGUE, BUT THEY WILL BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST AND WILL ONLY BE ADDED TO THE LEAGUE IF WE ARE ABLE TO EXPAND. COUPLES SIGNING UP FOR THE MONDAY NIGHT LEAGUE WILL ALSO BE WAIT-LISTED AT THIS TIME.
New this Summer: The Monday Night League will be directed by James Kelly-Lieb. Please be gentle with him…
Also, due to weak demand we will not be hosting a Thursday night men’s league this summer.
Please read all of the reminders very carefully before you register:
Reminder 1: ON-LINE REGISTRATION ONLY
In an effort to keep the registration race as fair as possible there will be only one way to sign-up for summer league this season and that is by filling out the on-line registration form . You can pay on-line via Google Checkout or you can mail in your money or you can pay at the fields (after registering on-line).
Reminder 2: Late payment fees.
As summer league veterans know, we are very understanding about players who don’t happen to have 20 bucks available at registration time. And we still will be, but we feel the need to add an incentive to get that money turned in sooner than later. Hence, the following very reasonable late fee schedule has been devised: no late fee if you pay your dues by June 6; $5 late fee for the rest of June; $10 late fee if paid in July and $20 late fee if you wait until August to pay up.
Reminder 3: The Monday Night League fills up fast! See the breaking news at the top of this article!
Reminder 4: These leagues are for adult players. Players under 18 can only sign up if they have a sponsor. Go to the bottom of the registration page for details.
Now its time to go to the registration page to see details about each league and to sign up....
MONDAY NIGHT PICK-UP MOVED TO BANNEKER FOR THE REST OF THE SPRING
The Monday Night Pick-Up game is being moved to the Banneker Rec. Center for the rest of the Spring. Start time at Banneker will be 8:00 PM. If the fields are too wet on a given Monday the game will be moved to the Catonsville High Turf field for that evening. If in doubt, check the website to confirm. For Monday, April 30, the Banneker fields will be fine.
Spring Pick-Up Is Underway
Starting on Monday, March 12 @ 8:30 PM we will start the spring Ultimate season of the Monday Night Drop-In League (a.k.a. Pick-up under the lights). The location will be the Catonsville High track field and the cost for the season will be 10 bucks. Register at the field on any Monday.
Youth Lacrosse will be practicing on the field prior to our start, please don't disturb their practice should you arrive early (or they go a little late).
Photobucket Account
James Kelly-Lieb has taken the trouble to set up a photobucket account for CMUA pictures. Photos from last Thursday night are up for your enjoyment:

If you've taken photos of CMUA events, we'd love to have you submit them! Send us an email and we'll get you the username and password so you can upload them directly.
A Reminder to Turf Field Users
Turf field rules: In general you play on a turf field pretty much like you would any field (rubber cleats are fine), but outside of play you have to treat it a little differently. You have to view it like a carpet that you can’t send out to be cleaned and that you can’t even vacuum. Hence the basic rules:
1) Only water shall be consumed on the field.
2) No food shall be consumed on the field.
3) No chairs are allowed on the field. (The concern seems to be that the feet may puncture the membrane that lies under the rubber pellets.)
4) No dogs allowed anywhere near the field.
5) No glass containers anywhere near the field.
