Clearly, we won’t be playing outside this week and the snow could impact the indoor schedule as well, since A) all after school activities are cancelled on snow days and B) snowed out school games could be rescheduled onto our nights.  With this in mind I have posted the Tuesday night Indoor poll, but it is very tentative at this point.  That poll is located on the Winter Website @ http://home.comcast.net/~cmua.winter .

The go threshold for each event (indoor or outdoor) will be 12 YES votes.  A go/nogo message will be posted on the above website around 6:30 PM each evening.

To summarize:

Monday 2/8 – Outdoor pickup @ Catonsville High turf field CANCELLED DUE TO SNOW

Tuesday 2/9 – Indoor pickup @ Lansdowne High gym @ 9:30 PM (TENTATIVE)

Wednesday 2/10 – Outdoor pickup @ Catonsville High turf field CANCELLED DUE TO SNOW

Thursday 2/11 – Indoor pickup @ Lansdowne High gym @ 9:30 (TENTATIVE)

Turf field rules:  In general you play on a turf field pretty much like you would any field (rubber cleats are fine), but outside of play you have to treat it a little differently.    You have to view it like a carpet that you can’t send out to be cleaned and that you can’t even vacuum. 

Hence the basic rules:

1)      Only water shall be consumed on the field.

2)      No food shall be consumed on the field.

3)      No chairs are allowed on the field.  (The concern seems to be that the feet may puncture the membrane that lies under the rubber pellets.)

4)      No dogs allowed anywhere near the field.

5)      No glass containers anywhere near the field.
